What is my Spanish level?

Language levels aren’t a competition. They’re just a way to describe how comfortable you feel using Spanish right now. Most people live between levels, and that’s totally fine.

Here is a quick guide:

A1. “I just got here.”

You’re at the very beginning.
You can say hi, introduce yourself, and recognize a few familiar words. Spanish still feels mysterious, but exciting.

If Spanish were a party, you just walked in, and you’re waving awkwardly.

A2. “I can survive.”

You can handle basic conversations and everyday situations.
You understand simple sentences and can respond… slowly… with effort.

You’re ordering coffee, asking questions, and feeling proud (as you should).

B1. “I can talk, but don’t rush me.”

Welcome to intermediate land!
You can have conversations, explain ideas, and get your point across, even if grammar isn’t perfect.

You talk. You hesitate. You talk again. That’s learning.

B2. “I sound like me… but in Spanish.”

You’re comfortable speaking and understanding different topics.
You can joke, tell stories, and express opinions. Accents still surprise you, but you recover.

This is where Spanish starts feeling real.

C1. “Fluent but still learning.”

You understand complex conversations, humor, and cultural references.
You can express yourself clearly and naturally, with style.

You’re not translating anymore… you’re thinking in Spanish.

C2. “Spanish is part of your life now.”

You move through Spanish effortlessly.
Different accents, registers, and contexts don’t scare you.

At this point, Spanish isn’t a subject. It’s a tool.

Not sure where you fit?

Good. That means you’re human.

You don’t need a test or a label to start. We figure your level by talking, not by stressing you out.

Spanish is the excuse.
Connection is the goal.
